About GSSSIETW, Mysuru
GSSSIETW, Mysuru is an initiative and outcome of Late Prof. B S Pandit, Physics, SJCE, Mysuru with a vision to empower girl child by providing quality technical education. The institution was established in the year 2003 reflecting the ideals of its founder and seeks to achieve excellence as an academic institution with advanced research.
The institute offers 6 B.E (5 programs IT, ECE, CSE, ISE, TE are Accredited by NBA, New Delhi, Validity: 01-07-2017 to 30-06-2020), 2 M.Tech, MBA programs, and has established Research Centers in E&C, CSE, EIE, Mathematics and Chemistry, affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka.
The institution supports state of art infrastructure. Every department has established MoUs with companies, implementing program specific laboratories to carry out hands on sessions with student projects. Institution has established Robotics Lab under VGST fund with e-Yantra, IIT Mumbai activities. Every department has established national level professional forums like CSI, IETE, IEI, IEEE-Energy chapter and ISTE, IEEE/WIE student chapter at institution level. Institution has separate training and placement cell establishing attractive and effective campus placements with 89 companies offering good salary. Institution has established entrepreneurial activities, encouraging co-curricular events.

Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering:
The Department of Instrumentation Technology was established in the year 2006-07 with an annual intake of 60 students and renamed as Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in the year 2014. The Department has been accredited by NBA, New Delhi for a period of 3 years (2017-18 to 2019-2020) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The Department has three hi-tech classrooms with projectors and well equipped laboratories with the latest software and hardware facilities required for the fulfillment of the curriculum and also to take up innovative projects.
The department caters to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electronics Instrumentation with a perfect blend of industrial exposure, coupled with good technical base. The department has qualified and experienced faculty and technically competent supporting staff on its role. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate. The department is actively engaged in industry-institute interaction. The department is vibrant in conducting Seminars, Workshops, and Industrial visits to the continuous growth of students.
Department of Telecommunication Engineering:
Department was started in the academic year 2006-07 with an intake of 60 students. The Department has been accredited by NBA, New Delhi for a period of 3 years (2017-18 to 2019-2020). The Department of TCE has a Professional and enthusiastic group of academicians who regularly involve in research with 13 faculty members. The department encourages the students & also gives platform to show their talents by organizing many technical events & symposiums. Department arranges industrial visits to provide an interaction between institution & industry, once in a semester for all the students. The department has established three program specific additional labs: Texas Instrument India University Program lab, (MOU between DST & GSSSIETW), Embedded System lab (MOU with ALS, Bengaluru) and INTEL lab (MOU with INTEL, Bengaluru). The department also encourages industry-institute interaction for students to bridge the gap between industry and academics. The department of TCE has established a IETE students forum (ISF). Faculties of TCE are members of IETE, ISTE, IEEE and other professional bodies.
